This quote by J.C. Ryle spoke to my heart today...goes very closely with the Hebrews 2:1-4 message that I preached Sunday night....
Inconsistency of life is utterly destructive of peace of conscience. The two things are incompatible. They cannot and they will not go together. If you will have your besetting sins and cannot make up your minds to give them up, if you will shrink from cutting off the right hand and plucking out the right eye when occasion requires it, I will engage you will have no assurance.
A vacillating walk, a backwardness to take a bold and decided line, a readiness to conform to the world, a hesitating witness for Christ, a lingering tone of religion, a clinching from a high standard of holiness and spiritual life, all these make up a sure receipt for bringing a blight upon the garden of your soul.

What a Difference Just One Day Can Make...!
Oh what a difference just a day makes! The Word of Christ declares in Romans 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Dr. Seamands tells of a Muslim who became a Christian in Africa. Some of his friends asked him, “Why have you become a Christian?” He answered, “Well, it’s like this. Suppose you were going down the road & suddenly the road forked in 2 directions, and you didn’t know which way to go, and there at the fork in the road were two men, one dead, and one alive – which one would you ask which way to go?
But now Christ is Risen!
